Evangelism for Non-Evangelists

Featuring the Evangelism Equation covered in OUTREACH Magazine!

Taught by Rev. Drs. Heather Lear and Mark Teasdale, each with over a dozen years of experience teaching evangelism and working with local churches around the world, Evangelism for Non-Evangelists starts with the idea that there is no one right way to do evangelism. Instead, evangelism takes place when Christians authentically and faithfully share the good news of what God has done to provide abundant life through Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit.

How Christians share that good news is a matter of their own gifts and graces, their personalities, their congregational formation, and their context. By working through the evangelism equation, participants in the webinars will develop effective evangelism strategies using what they already do as individuals and as congregations. No need to starts something new!

  • Webinars will meet online every Tuesday, Feb. 11 – March 18, 2025, 6 – 7:30 p.m. (Central).
  • Individuals, small groups, and congregational teams are welcome.
  • Fully participatory, including interactive exercises and group processing during the webinars.
  • Follow up with the teachers and other participants between sessions with questions, insights, and thoughts for the next week’s lesson through email, voicemail, and Twitter.
  • Lots of handouts and tools that you can reuse in your congregation.

Reviews

A very current, yet timeless strategy for people and congregations to share more deeply within the fellowship of believers and as an effective way to connect with the broader community. Sessions were easy to comprehend and implement.

Evangelism for Non-Evangelists takes the fear out of evangelism and replaces it with the powerful good news of Jesus Christ.

Dr. Teasdale and Dr. Lear provide a new way of considering evangelism that is approachable and engages both clergy and laity in the work of bringing the Good News through personal faith stories.

As a seasoned Christian, teacher of Bible study classes over 50 years and sharing the Good News of Jesus even longer. Evangelism for Non- Evangelist has verified my belief and given me renewed encouragement. I believe our Church leadership share the excitement as I do. Cant wait to move into action.

Anthony, Fall 2021

This course has broadened my understanding about the true meaning of evangelism, that it is not only about a preacher who fills up a whole stadium and invites the crowd to surrender their lives to Christ, it is actually much broader than that, in which anyone can invite another to Christ, equip him/her and send him/her out into the world to share God’s goodness.
