About

Mark R. Teasdale is a professor, author, and pastor who focuses on evangelism, church leadership, mission, and discipleship. He is the E. Stanley Jones Professor of Evangelism at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary.

As a pastor, he has helped grow congregations and youth groups, overseeing the full revitalization of a congregation and two building projects. As an author, he is best known for the book Evangelism for Non-Evangelists, which is now in its third printing and has had over 1,000 people go through the webinars sponsored by the Foundation for Evangelism based on the book. As a professor, he teaches courses on individual and congregational evangelism, leadership and administration, global Christianity, church planting, and Methodism.

He has consulted with several local churches and denominational bodies worldwide, including the Methodist Church (Lower Myanmar) and the Connectional Table of The United Methodist Church. He has also offered the keynote address and led workshops at several conferences and schools, including a pre-conference plenary address at Exponential, a training session at the Billy Graham Center for Evangelism at Wheaton College, the Aus Memorial Lecture at Luther Seminary, and the Wallace Chappell Lecture funded by the Foundation for Evangelism.

In addition, he has taught courses at Emory University, Southern Methodist University and Wesley Theological Seminary, and has led seminars at the Nonprofit Center at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He also had the privilege of designing and teaching the first graduate level evangelism course for the Methodist Theological Institute in Yangon.

He is a Past President of the Academy for Evangelism in Theological Education (AETE) and served for six years as the editor of Witness: The Journal of the Academy for Evangelism in Theological Education. He is also a Fellow of the Billy Graham Center for Evangelism.
